About the role

The Application Consultant has the mission to deliver/provide skilled professional advice, guidance, training and implementation support services to customers (internal and external). This will be in relation to NGA Human resources’ products and services (specifically the implementation of ResourceLink around the Recruitment and associated modules).

Key Delivery Responsibility
•Work with the Project Manager to achieve project objectives, project milestones and acceptance criteria and ensure that these are achieved within timescale and budget relevant to each project. Working with customers on end to end projects, having knowledge of the project lifecycle and being able to guide the customer through each stage.
•Undertaking project scoping and requirements gathering, producing high quality documentation outlining functional and non- functional requirements and documenting a system configuration specification will also be key requirements for this role.
•Providing customer training as necessary, either through knowledge transfer or formal training delivery.
•Working closely with our customers the Application Consultant will be undertaking customer facing activities (directly or remotely, project & customer depending) approximately 80% of the working week.
•Display an up to date and expert level of knowledge on NGA Human Resource’s products and services, commensurate with experience and role, together with relevant legislation and business practices.
•Ensure that all administrative activities are completed within the published timescales.
•Actively seek out new and downstream opportunities ensuring that all opportunities identified are communicated to the appropriate parties.
•Identify potential areas of risk to the company, employees or customers.
•Work as a cohesive team with other colleagues involved in the project and ensure appropriate project personnel and management are made aware of the current project status and any potential issues.
•From time to time undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
•Adherence to corporate policies and procedures as appropriate, and as detailed in the Consultancy Handbook.

Skills and experience

Essential skills:

Full UK Driving license and access to a car.


•In depth knowledge and experience of ResourceLink products
•Expert knowledge of Recruitment and HR practices
•Excellent understanding, knowledge and experience of end-to- end software configuration, implementation covering design, build, data migration and business intelligence/reporting.
•Previous experience of implementing software in a Business to Business environment
Experience of producing detailed project documentation
•Ability to translate complex functional or system related matters into easy to understand language
•Excellent customer facing skills
•Ability to work independently
•Good analytical skills – to be able to break down a problem, situation or process into its component parts, to separate the main issues from side-issues, to understand the nature of parts and their relationship to one another.
•Good communicator and customer oriented
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
•Understands the importance of quality and able to execute accordingly
•Well organized, schedules time effectively and uses efficient work methods and
tools
•Detail oriented, thorough and focused on all aspects of the job to ensure accuracy.
•Good team player – to be able to work with colleagues to achieve common targets and objectives
•Computer skills: MS Office, HR Databases, HR IS/IT systems and SC technology (tools for documentation/tracking, service delivery channels etc.)

Additional Information/Comments

This is a home based role, covering the whole of the UK, a car allowance will be provided.  Overnight stays are a regular feature of this role.  Equipment is provided to ensure you can work effectively from your home location and all UK offices have hot-desks for use by remote workers.
