Compliance and Internal Audit Manager

Job Description

Key Focus Areas:

Compliance Frameworks
1.       Assess legal and regulatory requirements for relevance and applicability to NGA UK and Ireland Group and recommend appropriate action
2.       Advise business on how to apply standard control frameworks that meet industry, regulatory and legal standards required by the business
3.       Conduct or direct internal assessments & audits against the agreed framework and report to business and external regulators as required

Audit – Internal and Customer Audit
1.       Prepare alongside senior leadership the annual Internal Audit plan and manage rollout, using internal and external resources as required
2.       Manage external audits of group compliance and finance activities as required to achieve appropriate and agreed certifications/standards including ISO27001 and SOC
3.       Engage with external auditors to organise audits and reviews and agree assessments, including arranging and checking internal team readiness and preparation
4.       Support delivery teams to arrange and manage client audits, including providing training
5.       Monitor remediation plans arising from compliance audits and report on progress/success. Escalate areas of non-compliance with remediation plans

Corporate Compliance
1.       Manage compliance issues related to corporate governance e.g. Anti-Corruption & Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, Modern Slavery Act, Prevention of Facilitation of Tax Evasion, Competition policy, Whistleblowing, Health and Safety
2.       Lead on reviewing, updating/creating and rolling out policies on corporate compliance matters (with support from legal/finance);
3.       Work with business to ensure maintenance of audit trails to evidence compliance
4.       Lead on collating content and rolling out Annual Compliance Training
5.       Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues and support business to resolve and remediate
6.       Provide regular reports to senior management on corporate compliance performance and escalate areas of risk accordingly

Vendor Assurance
1.       Deliver (with Security team support) appropriate Vendor Assurance to meet contractual and compliance requirements
2.       Undertake regular vendor compliance reviews via self-certification and sample audits
3.       Monitor vendor remediation plans in conjunction with procurement

Data Privacy
1.       Maintain DP registrations as required by law
2.       Provide/perform requirements as agreed with Legal team
3.       Ensure that Data transfer and Data Processing agreements are in place
4.       Oversee and monitor business compliance with DP laws and contractual requirements

ISMS Governance & Risk Management
1.       Define requirements for the ISMS framework in line with business and contractual requirements
