Job Description

Main Purpose of JOB

The Specialist Services Team serves several functions:-

 

·         Processing and distribution of Reports

·         Validation of additional third parties activities.

·         Processing of in depth payroll processes requiring in-depth knowledge (EG Flex, Shares, Fleet, Pensions)

·         Payment recalculations and colleague correspondence

·         High end payroll Queries

·         One off change requests

·         Assisting the team as a point of escalation for assistance with query resolution

 

The role of the specialist services team leader is to ensure that the team meet all SLA’s that relate to Payroll processing dead time and client specific deadlines. This can be in the form of monthly payroll processes, 24 hour ticket queries or date driven project requests.

 

The Team leader should also constantly review processes to check for any cost saving activities or suggest adjustments to the process that can be discussed with the client. These recommendations can be in the form of process improving or suggesting new processes.

 

The team leader needs to ensure the following

·         The resource is available and prepared for tasks required

·         The tools are available for the team to process

·        The stakeholders are always aware of current payroll and project status

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

·                     Monitor Daily SLA’s and ensure accountability within the team

·                     Ensure daily processes are being completed

·                     Assist with the resolution of issues the team cannot complete (e.g. complex payroll issues, I.T issues)

·                     Ensure adequate training is available for colleagues to perform their job

·                     Develop team members

·                     Ensure all stakeholders have had the communications required

·                     Assist Operations manager with Adhoc tasks

·                     Promote a forward thinking environment

·                     Ensure NGA are processing customers payrolls as per the agreed contract statements

·                     Look to improve processes as and when possible

 

Knowledge

·        Specific to the areas of process –Flex, Shares, Cars, Cost Centre reporting, Pensions, Pensioners,

·        Must have high abilities on excel

·        An ability to analyse data

 

Essential Functional / Technical & Personal Skills -

·        Must be able to demonstrate experience in resource planning

·        Must be fastidious

·        Must be a good communicator

·        Able to write contract addendum
